This document contains information about the
MIPSpro Fortran 77 7.2.1 compiler. The F77
compiler includes the compiler front ends and
man pages. The MIPSpro F77 compiler supports
compilation in 32-bit, 64-bit and high
performance 32-bit (n32) modes. In 64-bit mode,
the POINTER data type is 64 bits in size (all
other data types are the same size as in 32-bit
mode). For more information about 64-bit mode,
please consult the _M_I_P_S_p_r_o _6_4-_b_i_t _P_o_r_t_i_n_g _a_n_d
_T_r_a_n_s_i_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e.
Compilation in the N32 mode incorporates data
type sizes from the 32-bit mode with calling
conventions and code generation from the 64-bit
mode. For more information about n32, please
consult the _M_I_P_S_p_r_o _N_3_2 _A_B_I _G_u_i_d_e.
Utilities, header files, and libraries common to
several languages are covered in the 7.2.1 _B_a_s_e
_D_e_v_e_l_o_p_m_e_n_t _R_e_l_e_a_s_e _N_o_t_e_s (accessed as the
ccccoooommmmppppiiiilllleeeerrrr____ddddeeeevvvv release notes).
This document contains the following sections:
1. Introduction
2. Installation Information
3. Licensing Information
4. New Features of This Release
5. Known Problems
6. Bug Fixes
Note: Packaged with this software is a separate
sheet that contains the Software License
Agreement. This software is provided to
you solely under the terms and conditions
of the Software License Agreement.
Please take a few moments to review the
Agreement. Chapter 3, "Licensing",
provides an introduction to how licensing
is enforced for the MIPSpro Compilers.

the release notes on your screen.
If you have a graphics system, select ``Release
Notes'' from the Tools submenu of the Toolchest.
This displays the _g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) graphical browser
for the online release notes. Refer to the
_g_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for information on options
to this command.
If you do not have a graphics system, you can
use the _r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s command. Refer to the
_r_e_l_n_o_t_e_s(1) man page for accessing the online
release notes.
